What exactly is a business opportunity? That question has plagued many people who are trying to decide whether to buy an existing independent business, a franchise, or what we'll refer to as a business opportunity in this text. To clear things up, we've devised a simple analogy. Remember when your teacher was explaining the difference between a rectangle and a square in elementary school? A square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't always a square. The same holds true for business opportunities, independent businesses for sale, and franchises.
